Combined Sciences is a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) series for secondary students that improves their proficiency in both English and science. There are three textbooks in print and digital form—Pathway to Biology, Pathway to Physics and Pathway to Chemistry—and they feature practical experiments with readily available materials that follow the standard sequence of stages in the scientific method. Specially produced videos by renowned science educator Robert Krampf—also known as the Happy Scientist—demonstrate the experiments and explain the scientific concepts behind them.
With Combined Sciences students will:
reinforce previous knowledge of biology, physics and chemistry
improve their proficiency in both English and science
perform research activities
carry out practical experiments that follow the stages in the scientific method
develop critical thinking skills through the analysis of their experiments and their results to test students’ progress
